Chelation Therapy for Atherosclerosis

On Oct 3rd I had a heart attack, wow, what a surprise. After a stay in the hospital and several tests, the heart doctors told me I needed open heart surgery, and if I did not have the surgery, I would die. Somehow, I did not believe the doctors. I started doing research on the internet to see if there are any alternatives and found that chelation therapy is commonly used in many countries to treat arteries that are clogged with plaque. So I searched out a doctor and found one about 60 miles from my home. I had my first treatment today and it went well. I will keep you all informed as time goes on as to how I am doing and how the treatments are working. Don't ever let a doctor tell you his way is the only way, ask another doctor, do your own research, it is your health, your body. Just because a therapy is not FDA approved in the USA, does not mean it does not work, only that it either has not had the necessary trials or that it is too inexpensive for a drug company to make any money from, or it is not patentable. One of my favorite sayings is: "You have to take care of yourself first, no one else will do it for you". Below is an excerpt that briefly explains chelation therapy. Chelation therapy is an intravenous therapy performed in a doctor's office to treat and prevent cardiovascular disease, atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease, peripheral vascular disease, scleroderma, and other age-related problems. Properly administered, chelation therapy improves metabolic function and increases blood flow, opening blocked arteries throughout the body. The amino acid, ethylene-diamine-tetra-acetic acid (EDTA), is administered by slow intravenous infusion using a small 25-gauge needle. The protocol for administering EDTA was researched by Elmer M. Cranton, MD, author of Bypassing Bypass Surgery and editor of A Textbook on EDTA Chelation Therapy.

Chelation Therapy Week 2

Had my 2nd treatment on Tuesday 11/17 and it went well. I really can not tell any difference in the way I feel yet, and I expected that it will take a few weeks to get my body to the point that clearing the arteries will make a difference in the way I feel. The treatments give me a feeling of a warm glow all over and a slight euphoric feeling. These feelings only last an hour or so and are mild. I have to say there is less pain in my chest, still some minor angina that comes and goes. Went to Nashville to get another treatment today, everything went well. On a side note, the tinnitus I have had for years is getting quieter, the doctor told me it might clear up but was skeptical. I sure hope he is right and the tone goes away, it has been a major annoyance for years.

4 Chealation Treatments and counting

I have had four chleation treatments now and my health is definitely better. I am having no chest pain at all now. Ive been walking as far as I can since the heart attack and progressing well. Can still only walk a short distance, 6 blocks or so before the pain in my legs gets bad and I need to rest. Doc said the pain in my legs was from poor circulation and that will clear up as I receive more treatments. I am very cold natured and since winter is getting along now, I have put the word out that I am looking for a tread mill or some such device to put in my bedroom so I can get exercise this winter. I know I will not go out and walk when it is 30 degrees outside, so need something. Would like to borrow a tread mill for the winter if that is possible. Actually like to walk around town when the weather is nice. We live in a small town, pop. 200 or so, with a bank and one gas station. Nice place to live and the people are very friendly.
